Coping with Grief

National Grief Advice Service: Here for You During Your Time of Loss
At the National Grief Advice Service (NGAS), we understand that losing a loved one can be one of life's most challenging experiences. Our mission is to walk alongside you during this difficult time, offering compassionate support tailored to your unique needs.
Befriending Service
Grieving can feel isolating, but you don't have to face it alone. Our befriending service connects you with compassionate individuals who are here to listen and support you. Whether you prefer phone conversations, video calls, face-to-face meetings, or WhatsApp messaging if you're not ready to speak directly, we're here to provide comfort in the way that feels right for you.
One-to-One Counselling
Sometimes, speaking with a professional can help navigate the complex emotions that come with loss. Our confidential one-to-one counselling sessions are conducted by qualified professionals and are available over the phone, via video call, or in person. We aim to provide flexible options that suit your personal circumstances.
Grief Support Groups
Sharing your experience with others who understand can be incredibly healing. Our grief support groups offer a safe and supportive environment where you can express your feelings and gain strength from the shared experiences of others. We hold group sessions at our Grief Wellbeing Centre in Grantham at the following times:
Monday: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Wednesday: 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Friday: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
